Chelsea Hicks, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker with Norman Regional’s Journey Clinic. Chelsea received her master’s in Social Work from Catholic University of America. Chelsea began working in mental health because she realized we all struggle in some way in this world, whether it is trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, chronic pain, social injustices, prejudices or various other hardships.
“While friends and family can play an important role in our lives for coping and exercise can feel therapeutic for some, having a trained professional whose sole purpose is to be with you and support you through these challenges can be life altering for many people,” said Chelsea. “I chose therapy so that I could help empower people as they find their way in this world.”

Chelsea is open and honest with her patients and takes time to help them understand what therapy is and what it isn’t. She ensures that each of her patients have a plan geared towards their specific needs.
In her free time, Chelsea enjoys spending time with her family and pets, including a dog and six chickens. She enjoys collecting houseplants, embroidery, reading and all things midcentury modern.
